We had so much fun on our trip to Apple Hill over the Nevada Day Holiday. Both Jared and I were a little apprehensive taking Charlie on a road trip that would total 7 hours or more in the car in one day, but we took the risk.
This my friends is the face of a successful road trip.
We didn't make too many stops but had no time filling our day with lots of tasty apple treats and patches full of pumpkins.
I think everyone can agree we had the most fun seeing the animals- I guess I should clarify, I had the most fun watching Charlie see the animals. She was hilarious. We introduced her to a few goats and the biggest pig I'd ever seen and she probably wet her pants with excitement.
This is the part where she pulled her face as close to the fence as possible and screamed at the goat. This is also the exact moment the goat backed away.
When we walked up there were a bunch of kids surrounding the fence where the pig was laying, all trying to get him to move, but being unsuccessful. We set Charlie down and she ran up to the fence yelling at the pig and trying to grab his dirty hooves and sure enough, he hauled himself off the ground with a snort. I wish I would've gotten a picture.
I did manage to get some of her feeding the goats. I'm not sure she really got the hang of it, but she sure enjoyed their kisses.
She also discovered hills- and how fun they are to run down.
I think it's safe to say she enjoyed this part much more than I did.. But that's the mama bear in me.
The day could not have been more perfect. It was the most beautiful fall day and such a fun family getaway. I am already looking forward to taking her back!
